The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum to the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan demanding an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged irregularities in the conduction of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

A row erupted after a record number of 67 students scored the highest marks, with some of these high scorers coming from the same exam centre in Haryana, leading to allegations of cheating or a paper leak. Several students alleged that inflated grace marks were given and raised concerns about the practice.

A delegation of the ABVP, led by ABVP national secretary Virendra Solanki, called for a swift investigation and action against those responsible for the discrepancies.

In the memorandum, the ABVP highlighted issues such as the involvement of solvers and the distribution of question papers at various examination centres across the country.

The delegation alleged that the National Testing Agency (NTA) failed to properly review and prepare the examination centers, leading to the irregularities.

ABVP National Secretary Virendra Solanki and Shivangi Kharwal said, "There is a sense of doubt among students about the irregularities in the NEET exam process and results. The ABVP supports this demand and calls for a CBI probe into the matter. Such discrepancies by a major testing agency like NTA highlight its incompetence, and ABVP demands that its functioning be made foolproof to prevent future issues."

National Coordinator of ABVP's Medivision Abhinandan Bokaria said, "The testing agency should have conducted a review before the exam to prevent such irregularities. The NEET is a crucial exam for students aspiring to enter the medical field, and such major discrepancies are a betrayal of their legitimate expectations. ABVP demands the harshest possible action against those responsible for this incident."

The Education Minister accepted the memorandum and assured them that action would be taken against those found guilty.
