SRINAGAR: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded season's coldest night at minus 1.2 degree Celsius on Thursday. Several other areas in the Valley also continued to shiver under sub-zero temperatures.
The summer capital saw a drop from the previous night's minus 0.4 degrees Celsius. The night temperature was 1.3 degrees Celsius, below the normal for this time of year. In south Kashmir, the mercury settled at minus 1.4 degree Celsius at Qazigund while in Pahalgam it settled at a low of minus 2.3 degree Celsius. North Kashmir’s Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort resort, registered a low of minus 0.6 degree.
The Met department has predicted dry weather conditions till Nov 23 in the UT.
