Rajkummar Rao

of his latest film 'Stree 2' that has shot past the Rs 300 crore mark. Despite the acclaim and box office success, the actor's journey has been marked by significant struggles.
In a candid conversation with Raj Shamani, the actor revealed that his
family
didn’t have much money while he was growing up. However, he emphasized that although they were financially stressed, they weren’t facing extreme poverty.
“Matlab aisa nahi ki ek dum bhukhe mar gye the (It doesn't mean that we were starving to death),” he noted, highlighting that they were able to survive despite their struggles.
Rajkummar recalled his
childhood
and revealed that he grew up in a joint family with two siblings, and his mother made sure that he and his siblings didn’t feel the financial burden. She would find ways to provide whatever they needed, even if it meant asking for help from relatives.
The actor also shared that his teachers played a significant role during his school years, covering his fees for two to three years. He expressed gratitude for their support, revealing that his siblings were academically bright while he excelled in extracurricular activities like dance and martial arts. His teachers recognized his potential and were determined to ensure he continued his education, saying, “Nahi (No). We cannot ask them to leave the school; we’ll chip in; unko padhana zaruri hai (Their education is important).”
Looking ahead, Rajkummar is preparing for the release of his next project, 'Vicky
Vidya
Ka Woh Wala Video', co-starring Triptii Dimri, set to hit theatres on October 11.
