Pushpa 2 stampede: Hyderabad police file criminal case against Sandhya Theater

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police registered a criminal case against Sandhya Theater and its management for the stampede outside the theater and the death of a woman, Revathi, during the special premiere of the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 on Wednesday night. Police also said the theater will be sealed as part of the procedure and further investigation. "There was negligence on their part in ensuring crowd control measures were in place. Strict action will be taken against all those responsible for the incident," a senior police official of Hyderabad told TOI. Meanwhile, Revathi’s son, Sritej, who was also injured in the stampede, continues to battle for life. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Begumpet. He remains critical, and a team of doctors is monitoring his condition, added the official.
