NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- NJ Transit announced the return of its student discount program on Wednesday, where college students can save while commuting to class.
February marks the return of the “Buy 3 Months, Get 1 Month Free” Student Pass promotion. To qualify for the promotion, "a student at a partner college or university must buy a student monthly pass via the NJ TRANSIT mobile app for three consecutive months: February, March, and April of 2024," the agency said.
Full-time students, and part-time degree-seeking students that are taking at least two courses are also eligible for the Student Pass fare, according to the agency.
Commuters can also purchase Student Tickets, which is a rail monthly pass at a 25% discount, after completing an application.
