Man struck by train in Manhattan subway station: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A man was struck by a train in a Manhattan subway station early Thursday morning, police said.

The man was on the tracks of the J, Z line at the Delancy Street- Bowery subway station in Lower Manhattan at around 12:10 a.m., according to the NYPD. The train conductor couldn't stop the train in time, according to a police source.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

It was unclear what the man was doing on the tracks.
