BHOPAL: Chief minister Mohan Yadav has said that setting up of industries in various
sectors
will be the top priority for Madhya Pradesh govt, and new industries will come up in defence equipment manufacturing, textiles, pharmaceutical and tourism sectors.
CM Yadav was addressing the Regional Industry Conclave at Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Centre, Jabalpur, on Saturday.
Leading
industrialists
from India and abroad were among 4,000 potential investors to participate in the conclave.
Yadav, who has announced 2025 as Year of Industry in MP, said that an 'ultra-modern' skill
development
centre will be set up in the textiles sector in Jabalpur, which will benefit women by offering employment opportunities.
RIC is part of the Mohan Yadav govt's policy to showcase the business potential of specific regions of the state and ensure pan-MP development. The opening edition was held in Ujjain in March this year where business proposals worth more than Rs 75,000 crore were received.
Industrialists from five countries and several states participated in the Jabalpur conclave, the second chapter in RIC.
On the occasion, CM Yadav laid foundation stones for 29 industrial units and performed bhoomi pujan for 38 industrial units. Representatives from many states joined the ceremony. These 67 units entail investments worth Rs 1,500 crore and will generate 4,500 jobs.
The CM launched the state 'IT / ITES, and ESDM Policy 2023' and held 30 one-on-one meetings with leading industrialists.

Chief minister Mohan Yadav held

discussions with industrialists and industry groups at Regional Industry Conclave Jabalpur on Saturday. He said that the state govt is progressing with positive thinking, simplifying government processes related to industrial activities.
Discussions were held regarding
automobile
and Ayurvedic sectors.
Yadav held these
discussions
with Vinod Agrawal, Managing Director of Sheri Volvo Eicher Group, regarding
expansion
in the automobile sector.
He also discussed operation and expansion of cement units with Joydeep Mukherjee from Heidelberg Cement India Private Limited.
Furthermore, discussions took place with Pranav Sharma, Managing Director of Baidyanath Group, and Shabbir Khan, Chairman of Swaraj Shootings, regarding these developments.
Yadav discussed
investment
potential and expansion possibilities in the
energy
and renewable energy sectors with Nitesh Lohia from Lohia Energy, Harsh Trivedi from Ramanik Power and Alloys, and Atul Vaidya from Vayjay Biofuels during one-to-one dialogues.
Talks were also held with Rajnikant Rai from Sahvag Agro Private Limited and Abhinav Singhal from AVJ Agro regarding establishment and expansion of agricultural and food processing units.
Attention was given to skill development and fostering entrepreneurship among youth. Proposals related to operation of data centers in various sectors were also brought up.
The CM talked with Anurag Srivastav, Managing Director of NetLink Limited, and Vikram Kumar Mallavarapu, business head of CTRLS, about potential data center operators.
Deliberations were also held on expanding activities in the defense sector.
Yadav talked to Vin Lin, Manager of Taipei World Trade Center Taiwan, B Sai Ram from Nagarjuna Cement Limited, and Abdullah from Manganese Ore India Limited. He also discussed advancements with Rajesh Choudhary, chairman of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited.
