JEE Main 2025 has set a new record with nearly 13.8 lakh candidates registering for the January session, marking the highest number of applications in the exam's history. This year's registrations have surged by 1.6 lakh compared to the 12,21,764 applicants for the first session in 2024.

The registration for the January session of JEE Main 2025 has concluded. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the engineering entrance exam in two shifts daily from January 22 to January 31.
This year, the exam has broken previous records, receiving the highest number of applications in its history. Nearly 13.8 lakh candidates have registered for the January session, reflecting an increase of 1.6 lakh compared to last year's 12,21,764 registrations for the first session.
APPLICATION CORRECTION PROCESS
The application correction window for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will be open on November 26 and 27, allowing candidates to update their mobile number, email ID, current and permanent addresses, emergency contact details, and photographs.
The registration process initially faced a slow start due to challenges such as festival holidays, Aadhaar card name mismatches, and discrepancies in OBC and EWS category details. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) addressed these issues effectively, leading to a smoother process. The release of the comprehensive JEE Main 2025 FAQs further clarified key concerns, providing much-needed guidance to aspirants.
JEE PAPER PATTERN
JEE Main 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Admit cards will be released three days before the exam, while the city intimation slip will be available in the first week of January.
The results are scheduled to be announced by February 12. Paper 1 will consist of 75 questions, carrying a total of 300 marks. Section A will feature 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while Section B will include 15 questions requiring numerical value-based answers. The exam will be held in a three-hour Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
