Jaipur doctor who saved man at Delhi airport honoured by North Western Railways

Dr Priya Garg

, who saved the life of a 60-year-old man by administering

CPR

after he suffered a

heart attack

at New Delhi airport on July 14, was honoured by the North Western Railways (NWR) on Saturday. NWR general manager

Amitabh

presented an

appreciation certificate

to Dr Priya during a weekly review meeting in Jaipur. Dr Priya is a senior divisional medical officer at the Railway Hospital in

Ajmer

and hails from Jaipur.

Recounting the incident, she said, "An elderly man collapsed and the airport staff approached me. When I saw him, there was no pulse and he had stopped breathing. Therefore, I administered CPR and, fortunately, saved his life."

Expressing her happiness over saving the passenger at Delhi airport, Dr Priya said, "A doctor is always there to save lives". Dr Priya's video, which went viral on social media on July 17, shows her saving the life the passenger. She has been widely praised for her quick decision-making in a time of need. tnn
