There’s no better feeling than marrying your best friend

After eight years of courtship,

Aasiya Kazi

and Gulshan Nain have embarked on a new journey as husband and wife. The couple, who first crossed paths during a cricket practice session, tied the knot on November 28 in an intimate ceremony. They hosted a reception for industry friends the next day, followed by another celebration in Gulshan’s hometown, Delhi, on December 5.
Ask them about their low-key wedding, and Aasiya shares, “Gulshan and I value our privacy deeply. While people are welcome to know about our professional lives, we wanted to keep this ceremony personal and sacred. That’s why we chose not to talk about it before the wedding.” Gulshan adds, “We wanted to celebrate this special moment only with those closest to us. In fact, most people found out just days before the wedding.”
Reflecting on this new chapter, Aasiya says, “I’m thrilled about this phase in my life. My parents were equally excited – as any parents would be when their child gets married. It was an emotional rollercoaster for them, a mix of happiness and the bittersweet feeling of letting their daughter go. We’re both incredibly pampered, and they went above and beyond to make our wedding special.”

The actress admits the feeling of being married hasn’t quite sunk in yet. “Maybe it’s because Gulshan and I have always been best friends first. Our bond hasn’t changed, but it’s exciting to start building a life together,” she says.
Gulshan feels equally blessed, saying, “We would have celebrated nine years of being together in March. I’m lucky to have married the woman I love. What I admire most about Aasiya is her simplicity and the way she values family. Despite being in the industry for so long, she’s stayed grounded.”
For her, Gulshan is her perfect match. “He’s everything I could have wished for and more. He makes me feel safe, loved, and completely at ease. There are no pretences with him, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner,” she concludes
