JAMMU: A joint team of Kathua Police and CRPF’s 121Bn arrested 10 terror suspects during raids in 17 locations in the general areas of Malhar, Bani and the upper reaches of Billawar in Kathua district Wednesday. The action came a day after police conducted 56 raids across four districts in Jammu division and arrested several overground workers and terror suspects.
The raids are part of an ongoing operation against terror networks operational in J&K and aim to dismantle the terror ecosystem by cracking down modules and individuals providing logistic and financial aid to proscribed terror groups such as
Jaish-e-Mohammad
and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Meticulously planned raids led to the identification and arrest of 10 overground workers and terror suspects along with the seizure of electronic devices in connection with multiple FIRs registered at Malhar, Billawar and Bani police stations, said a police official. Apart from hinterland areas in Kathua district, searches were also conducted in the border areas of Kana Chack, Haria Chack, Spral Pain and Chack Wajir Lahbju.
