BSF recovers heroin from field close to Indo-Pak border in Ferozepur

FEROZEPUR: The Border Security Force claimed to have foiled another
drug smuggling
bid and recovered a packet of
heroin
(492 gms) from the filed close to the International Border in
Ferozepur
in the wee hours on Saturday. According to information, the
BSF
received the formation about the presence of a suspected packet in the border area of Ferozepur district and in response, the troops promptly searched the suspected area.
During the search operation, at around 12.20 am, the troops successfully recovered 1 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight-492 Grams). The narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and an improvised iron ring was also found attached to the packet. This recovery occurred in a farming field adjacent to Village- Chak Bhange Wala in Ferozepur District.
