Boy, 11 months, found dead with burns from heating furnace in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An 11-month-old boy died Friday after he was found with burns from a heating furnace in a Brooklyn home, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened at a home on East 14th Street around 6 a.m. Officers found the child unconscious and unresponsive near the furnace, which was leaking steam, according to authorities.

EMS transported the child to Maimonides Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
