Manchester City picked up a routine 2-nil victory over Leicester City last night at the Etihad Stadium. The result was crucial to City’s chase for Champions League qualification, although it was short of talking points given how the game transpired. There was one special moment to come out of the game which occurred in the 85th minute of last night’s match. Oscar Bobb made his long-awaited return to the pitch and it was fantastic to see him back on the pitch for Manchester City.
Oscar Bobb replaced Savinho in the 85th minute of last night’s match. He received a hero’s welcome from the Manchester City faithful when he finally stepped onto the pitch. After being out with a fractured leg ever since the eve of this season it has been a long road back to this point for Bobb. But his moment arrived last night. The hope is now that he can feature in Manchester City’s final games of the 24/25 to build his way into the FIFA Club World Cup and next season.

Pep Guardiola speaks on Oscar Bobb’s return.
Speaking after his team’s win Pep Guardiola was happy to have Oscar Bobb back on the pitch. He also praised the Manchester City fans for the warmth shown to Bobb when he finally stepped foot on the pitch. Speaking on Bobb’s return Guardiola said: “It was long because he was injured and not recovered the way what we expected. It’s a long time. Before Chelsea in the first Premier League game, he was unfortunately injured. He cannot forget the warmth from our people, it was really nice. He is a top, talented player. His pressing and rhythm. Unfortunately, now we are in a period where minutes are difficult, but we are really pleased he’s back and played a few minutes.”
On a night where Manchester City picked up a routine and comfortable win over Leicester City Oscar Bobb’s return was one stand out moment from the match. It was fantastic to see and hopefully he can feature more prominently for Pep Guardiola’s side over the closing stages of this season.
