, the whistling girl from Ghatal, has stolen the attention of both the judges and the audience with her unique skill.

Ankana, for whom age is just a number, is capable enough to give a tough fight to any professional singer. The girl from Ghatal stunned the judges during the Audition Level 1 on the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2024. During Audition Level 2, Ankana picked the hit Bollywood song ’Chupke Se Lag Jaa Gale’ and began her performance with her signature whistling.

‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, one of the most popular singing reality shows on Bengali TV, held its grand premiere on June 2. With Abir Chatterjee in hosting duties and a panel of eight judges, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia graced the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 21. The list of judges for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa this season includes popular singer Javed Ali, music director Shantanu Moitra, singer Raghab Chatterjee, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Jojo, Antara Mitra, music director and filmmaker Indraadip Dasgupta, along with Iman.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa started its journey back in 2006 with Aneek Dhar as the first season’s winner. Within a couple of years, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa opened its door for the little champs too. In 2008, the reality show hosted a season dedicated to visually impaired singers. In 2015, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa had multiple winners from different sections. Aditi Munshi, and

were a few among them. The singing reality show maintained a close association with the late Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya, a legendary folk artist and one of the founder members of the folk group Dohar.
This year, the reality show commenced its 21st season. The tagline for the new season of the show is, “bhalo gaan, jogyo shomman”, which means – ‘good music shall earn the deserving reward’.
