ISPL
) as the proud owner of the
Mumbai team
.
The ISPL stands as India's pioneering
tennis ball
T10 cricket tournament, set to be played inside a stadium. The inaugural edition is scheduled to take place from March 2 to March 9 in Mumbai, featuring 19 high-intensity matches and showcasing six teams – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar.
In a press release, it was highlighted that this unique tournament seeks to provide a platform for players who have honed their skills in the streets and makeshift pitches.
The ISPL aims to bring these talents into the formal setup, allowing them to exhibit their cricketing prowess before a global audience.
Expressing his excitement about this new venture, Bachchan took to his personal blog to share his thoughts. He stated, "A new day .. and a new enterprise .. For me an honour and a privilege to be with Mumbai as Team Owner, and to be privy to the surge of talent erupt, for a grand visionary future."
Bachchan described the ISPL as an exciting and noble concept, providing players the opportunity to transition from the streets and alleys to professional teams. The 81-year-old actor expressed his enthusiasm for witnessing the talent that emerged from the streets now playing in formal setups before a global audience.

were also revealed as team owners, representing Srinagar and Bengaluru, respectively, adding star power to the league's ownership.
