Let's dive into all the action from the latest episode of SmackDown!
WWE SmackDown (9/6) Results: Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton and more
Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton
After her loss to Nia Jax at SummerSlam, Bayley finally made her in-ring return, facing Tiffany Stratton. The match was strong from the start, but Nia Jax, the WWE Women's Champion and Stratton's best friend, interrupted the action. Toward the end, Bayley hit a suicide dive on Jax and rolled back into the ring, only for Stratton to take advantage. She attempted a backslide pin, but Jax distracted the referee just long enough for Bayley to kick out. Bayley then capitalized and hit Stratton with the Rose Plant for the victory.
Giovanni Vinci vs Apollo Crews
While every match was exciting, one in particular stood out for its hilarious ending: the bout between Giovanni Vinci and Apollo Crews. As Giovanni Vinci made his return to the ring, complete with new music and gear, Apollo Crews was already waiting. Right at the start, as Vinci was still removing his ring gear, Crews quickly rolled him up and secured the three count, ending the match in an instant.
Kevin Owens vs Austin Theory vs Grayson Waller
The match between Kevin Owens, Austin Theory, and Grayson Waller was nothing short of spectacular, with each superstar giving their all to claim victory. In the end, it was Kevin Owens who emerged victorious. As the match reached its climax, Owens delivered a rolling senton off the top rope to Theory, only for Waller to break up the pin. Owens then caught Waller in the corner and executed a Fisherman Buster from the top rope. Theory attempted to hit Waller with A-Town Down, but Owens countered. After a failed Stunner, with Theory pushing Owens into Waller, Theory went for the pin, but Owens countered again and nailed Theory with a Stunner to secure the win.
Chelsea Green vs Michin
Chelsea Green secured the win using her typical tactics. She distracted the referee by arguing with him, giving Niven the opportunity to hit a running crossbody on Michin outside the ring. Green then brought Michin back into the ring and delivered the Unprett-her for the victory.
The Bloodline vs The Street Profits and DIY
The main event tag team match featuring The Bloodline, The Street Profits, and DIY was nothing short of spectacular, with every superstar elevating the action to new heights. However, it was Jacob Fatu’s heroic efforts that secured the win for The Bloodline. In the final moments, Fatu dragged Tonga to their corner, tagged in, and unleashed a barrage of superkicks and other powerful moves. He took down Ford with an Impaler before tagging in Sikoa, who hauled Ford to his feet and delivered a devastating Samoan Spike. Solo followed up with a second spike, covering Ford for the three-count to seal the victory.
