Woman convicted in Brooklyn subway acid attack sentenced to 12 years in prison

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The woman found guilty in a 2022 acid attack inside a Brooklyn subway station was sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

Rodlin Gravesande, 33, was convicted on charges including assault with intent to cause disfigurement.

The victim was critically injured in the random attack that happened back in December 2022 at the Winthrop Street train station.

Gravesande was arrested about a month later in Atlanta. The 21-year-old victim suffered first and second-degree burns to her face and has undergone numerous reconstructive surgeries.
