UNIONDALE, Long Island (PIX11) -- A woman is accused of attacking a woman with brass knuckles and a knife on Long Island on Wednesday, according to police.
Armanda Valles, 30, got into an argument outside of her home with the 19-year-old victim on Hawthorne Avenue around 7 p.m., according to police. Valles started allegedly hitting the victim with the brass knuckles in the legs. The victim tried to escape from Valles, but police said she allegedly took out a knife and started to slash the victim's leg under her knee.
Valles left her home and was found near Hawthorne Avenue and Front Street and placed under arrest, according to police.
The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries, according to officials.
Valles was charged with the following:
- Two counts of assault
- Two counts of criminal possession of a weapon
