Less than a week away from its release, the producers of 'Salaar' are hopeful that the movie will break box office records. The film, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, is expected to cross the Rs 1000-crore mark.

‘Salaar’ is less than a week away from its release. Prabhas’ action thriller will release in theatres on December 22, 2023. Apart from Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan play an important role in the Prashanth Neel directorial. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, producer Vijay Kiragandur reveals what are their expectations from the upcoming film. He also opened up about the film's chances to cross Rs 1000-crore mark attained by the likes of ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’.
'SALAAR' PRODUCER EXPECT IT TO DO A PHENEOMENAL BUSINESS
Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Vijay Kiragandur shared, "As a producer, whenever we are releasing a big movie like ‘KGF’ or ‘Salaar’, we obviously expect it to do great numbers. We hope it does more than Rs 1000 crore. The movie is now complete, and it is all set to be released, so all we can do is expect and we are expecting bigger numbers.”
The producer added, “There are so many things working for the film, like Prabhas in an action avatar is great. People are excited to see him and Prithviraj together."
'SALAAR' VS 'DUNKI' IS UNAVOIDABLE: PRODUCER
The film is releasing alongside Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki,' directed by Rajkumar Hirani. 'Dunki' will star Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles as well. When asked if the clash will affect the performance of the movie in theatres, the Hombale Productions' producer mentioned that it is really unavoidable and they are looking at a 50-50 screening possibility.
'Salaar' will be released in two parts. Part 1 is called 'Salaar: Ceasefire Part 1' which will tell the story of two friends like brothers.
