It wasn't only the players that toasted to victory – but their beloved mascot, Ellie the Elephant, could also be seen among the revelers.

Ellie replaced Maddie the golden retriever as the team's mascot in 2021, according to reporting from ESPN. She's meant to represent strength, power, wisdom and determination, according to New York Liberty's website.

Ellie also represents the deep ties elephants have with Brooklyn. P.T. Barnum, the famed showman, walked 21 elephants along the Brooklyn Bridge to prove it was structurally sound before it opened in 1883, New York Liberty said.

She's known for her famous moves: The Ellie Stomp and Ellie Wave, and she won two WNBA dance battle titles.
