NEW YORK (PIX11) – While there may not be any snow in the forecast, a snow moon is set to grace the sky this week.

It's expected to rise on Friday. The full moon won't have its usual sun-kissed glow during this cycle, and it will also be a super moon, meaning it will appear at its largest.

Astrologers said the snow moon also marks a new moon in Aquarius, which is said to boost friendships as well as a sense of community and public service.

The eye-catching moon will peak on Feb. 24.
