Ravi Shastri
's 'tracer bullet' commentary and presentation skills need no introduction. The former India all-rounder and coach goes that extra mile to enthrall the fans with unmatched energy in his words. But on December 14, he experienced a rare fumble, and the video went viral.
Having reliquished his position as India coach some time back, Shastri is back wearing his commentator hat and is currently behind the microphone in
Australia
for the first Test between the hosts and Pakistan in Perth.
Shastri was introducing the fans in the
Optus Stadium
to the two captains, Pat Cummins and Shan Masood, when he stuttered and fumbled -- something we very rarely witness when it comes to the 1983 World Cup winner.
"We are in Western Australia at the magnificent Optus Stadium here in Perth. The pace of...bounce and pace. We are going to come up to toss time in the West Test...," Ravi Shastri was heard as saying in a video shared by Fox Cricket on Instagram.
Australia batted first and went on to score 487 in their first innings, led by a century from veteran opener David Warner (164).
