NEW DELHI: Former India captain Rahul Dravid was in September earlier this year announced as the head coach of the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals on a multi-year contract.
Dravid's tenure as India's head coach ended in June with the team winning the
T20 World Cup
in the Americas.
Dravid has coached Rajasthan
Royals
in 2014 and has held different roles with the
India U-19 team
as well as at the
National Cricket Academy
in Bengaluru.
Though known for his copybook technique and old-school batting,
Dravid
has always had big shots in his repertoire and has demonstrated his ability to hit big shots when the situation demanded, especially in ODIs, T20s, and the IPL.
Now enjoying life after retirement and back at Rajasthan Royals, Dravid is often seen batting for fun in mock matches at the Royals camp.
Rajasthan Royals shared a video on their official X handle with the caption "Rahul Dravid: Six off the first ball!"
The video has Dravid flicking a full toss delivery high up in the air towards fine leg.
