Italian Prime Minister

Giorgia Meloni

was caught rolling her eyes as she was speaking with Finnish president Alezander Stubb. The video of Meloni crossing her eyes and showing her wrist indicating that she wasn't wearing a watch went viral. The other leaders she was engaged in a conversation checked the time -- indicating that Meloni's disgust was the delay by US president Joe Biden at the Nao summit earlier Thursday.

Reports said there was a delay of 40 minutes as the session started at 10.40 am instead of 10 am. Biden's press conference in the evening was also delayed by an hour to adjust Nato schedule, White House said.

"Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni appears irritated as she rolls her eyes and checks imaginary watch while waiting for Biden’s late arrival before starting the NATO summit in Washington DC," a user wrote sharing Melon's eye rolling video.

"Giorgia Meloni on top eye-rolling form as leaders at the @Nato summit wait for Stoltenberg and Biden to arrive for today's first session," Financial Times' Henry Foy commented on X.

Some social media users thought Meloni was actually mimicking Biden but then restrained herself when she noticed the cameras on her.
"Meloni did it again. Eye-rolling is turning into her trademark," another noted.
"Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni caught doing a Joe Biden impression at NATO summit 😂Remember when the corporate media told us ‘world leaders don’t respect Trump!’ Every one of them would do anything to get Trump back now," a user noted.
It was Meloni who went viral at the G7 summit after she was seen leading a distracted Biden.
Meloni is known for her eyeroll as she was caught doing the same at the G7 summit probably at then French president Emmanuel Macron. In that video, Meloni looked uninterested while offering a lackluster hand shake to Macron punctuated by her eyeroll.
