WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) – Police released images of two men they believe fatally stabbed a 20-year-old in Washington Heights.
The two men stand accused of attacking Mateo Solis, 20, on July 2 just before 3 a.m. near Saint Nicholas Avenue and West 185th Street, according to the NYPD.
Solis was stabbed in the back, police said. He was rushed to an area hospital in stable condition, but was later pronounced dead, police said.
The young man, identified by family as Mateo Solis Tlalpachitoc, was celebrating his wife’s birthday when the two suspected attackers approached their table, a family member told the New York Daily News.
He is a father to two young children and a cook for the family’s food truck, according to the New York Daily News.
