interviews. Choreographer-actor-director Jaguar Thangam, who shared a great association with
Vijaya
kanth, has recalled a fond memory of the late actor in his recent interview. In the late 1990s,
Jaguar Thangam
opened a gym and he invited several cinema stars for the inauguration. Vijayakanth and
Vijay
were the main chief guests for the inauguration, and here is how Jaguar Thangam invited both.
Jaguar Thangam invited Vijayakanth in person for the inauguration of his gym and shared his idea about welcoming him to the event through posters. Vijayakanth, who came to know about Vijay's presence, asked Jaguar Thangam to stick more posters for the junior actor as the former wished the younger one to get major attention among the public. Jaguar Thangam has also accepted Vijayakanth's condition, and he went on to invite Vijay.

Even though Vijay accepted Jaguar Thangam's invitation through a phone call, the latter met the former in Mahabalipuram during the film shoot. Vijay accepted his invitation and the actor sent a message to Jaguar Thangam after knowing about Vijayakanth's presence for the event.
