A video featuring angry passengers waiting to board a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight has gone viral. The flight, bound for an undisclosed location, faced an unexpected delay due to a fuel shortage, leading to frustration and anger among the travellers.

The video, originally shared on TikTok, depicts a scene of chaos as passengers are seen pleading with the airline staff for answers and solutions. One passenger expressed his dismay, stating that the airline should have notified them the previous night about the cancellation, as he now faces a significant financial loss of $6,000 due to pre-booked hotels and rental cars.

Another disgruntled flyer criticised the airline's management, suggesting that while government officials seem to have access to fuel, ordinary paying customers are left stranded without the services they paid for.

Amidst the commotion, passengers demanded to speak with higher management, but their requests were met with refusal from the airline staff. A particularly concerned passenger mentioned his pregnant wife, urgently enquiring whether the flight would depart "tonight or tomorrow morning."

The video has gone viral and garnered several responses. Many pointed out that such state of a national airline was indeed concerning.
