Video: Opposition leaders march from Parliament over mass suspension of MPs

Amidst an ongoing tussle between the Narendra Modi government and the opposition parties, several leaders of the INDIA bloc on Thursday took to the streets in a march from Parliament House to Vijay Chowk in Delhi to protest against the suspension of 143 lawmakers this week. The suspended MPs, including 97 from the Lok Sabha and 46 from the Rajya Sabha, were accused of disrupting proceedings amid demands for a debate on the unprecedented security breach on December 13. During this incident, two individuals jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors' gallery and released gas canisters, raising serious concerns about parliamentary security.

Delhi Police arrests 2 more accused in Parliament security breach case

Delhi Police has detained two more people for questioning in the massive Parliament security breach case. One of them is identified as Sai Krishna, the son of a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police from Karnataka’s Bagalkote. Another man who has been detained by the Delhi Police has been identified as Atul Kulshreshtha from Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun. Preliminary investigation revealed that Atul, also known as 'Baccha', has no past criminal records and no political affiliation but had been passionate about the ideology of Shaheed Bhagat Singh since his student life.

Video: Chandigarh woman chased by stray dogs, rams scooter into wall in panic

A video went viral on social media on Thursday that showed a mother-daughter duo being chased away by stray dogs in Chandigarh. In the 12-second-long video, the mother-daughter duo, who are on a scooter, can be seen being chased away by stray dogs. Being stricken in panic, the mother rammed the scooter into a wall. The incident happened in the Sector 38 area of the city. Incidents of dogs creating a nuisance in people’s lives have been on the news recently, creating outrage. Earlier this year, in a similar incident, a woman carrying another woman and her child on a scooter rammed a two-wheeler into a car after being chased by stray dogs in Odisha’s Brahmapur.
