To make sure that the exam process is fair, the board plans to use computerized identity cards for invigilators. These cards will have special QR codes and serial numbers to ensure their uniqueness.
"The QR code and the serial number on the identity card would ensure their uniqueness and prevent any replication as well as thwart any effort of impersonation by anyone trying to undermine the exams," told Divyakant Shukla, secretary of the UP Board to IANS.

The ID cards will display the subject that the invigilator is qualified to teach. This makes it possible for other qualified teachers to take over if necessary, especially if they have expertise in a different subject from the one being tested that day. Officials mentioned that this approach would eliminate any possibility of an invigilator attempting to help a student cheat. On December 7, 2023, the exam schedule for Classes 10 and 12 was published by the UP Board.
