TIRUPATI: Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy inaugurated five mineral water plants at fluoride affected villages in Kandukur and Kovur assembly constituencies of Nellore district on Saturday. The five water plants were established by the Nellore MP’s VPR foundation under the “Amruthadhara” initiative. While two mineral water plants were inaugurated in the Kandukur assembly segment at the ZP high school at Lingasamudram mandal headquarters and at Karedu village at Ulavapadu mandal, three more mineral water plants were inaugurated at Munulapudi in Buchireddipalem mandal, at Kodavaluru and at Utukuru Pallipalem in Vidavaluru mandal of the Kovur assembly constituency. Nellore MP told reporters that the VPR foundation established by him even before he ventured into politics, was actively involved in establishing drinking water plants in the fluoride affected villages across Nellore district. “The VPR foundation has so far established 175 drinking water plants across the district and the annual maintenance costs are also met by the foundation only. We are in the process of establishing ten more drinking water plants across the Kandukur assembly constituency soon”, Nellore MP added.Kandukur TDP legislator Inturi Nageswara Rao and Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy took part.
