NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) –  There's one last day of summer in the tri-state area and the temperatures will match, with high temps pushing near 80 degrees.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds with some cloud buildup throughout the day. Showers are expected to slide to the south Saturday evening before dissipating.

NYC forecast and PIX11's Weather Center

Despite the warm temperatures, it's not a good day for the beach, as a coastal flood warning is in effect until 3 p.m. Saturday with an advisory extending through the overnight hours.

Saturday is the first day of fall, and it will feel like it with seasonable temps in the low to mid-70s. There will again be a mix of sun and clouds with overnight lows down to the 50s.

Monday is cooler as it gets cloudier with highs in the low 70s. Through Tuesday it will become even more cloudy with temperatures only in the high 60s. Showers should arrive by the end of Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Wednesday remains wet and gray with high temperatures once again in the upper 60s.  Thursday is still wet with possible breaks in the clouds before clearing out by Friday.
