THANE: The
Thane Municipal Corporation
(TMC), located in the home turf of Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde, has announced plans for a
new administrative building
with an estimated budget of
Rs 727 crore
. The ambitious project will feature a 32-floor office block along with a five-storey 'Mahasabha' building and two levels of basement parking, as confirmed by TMC officials on Saturday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the project with a ceremony during his recent visit to Thane. Once completed, the facility aims to centralise various municipal offices under one roof, maximizing convenience for Thane's residents.
