Team India have reached Barbados ahead of their T20 World Cup 2024 Final to be held on Saturday, June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown. The team, led by Rohit Sharma, left for Barbados soon after their semi-final against Jos Buttler’s England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27. Before the final, India have limited time to prepare and get used to the playing and weather conditions.
IND v ENG, T20 World Cup Semifinal: Highlights
The Men in Blue are brimming with confidence after beating the Three Lions by 68 runs. India also qualified for their third final in the history of the tournament after the ones in 2007 and 2014. India are also looking to end their 17-year-long wait of winning the title. In 2007, they beat Pakistan in Johannesburg, but lost to Sri Lanka in 2014 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
India dominate England
Rohit Sharma led from the front and helped his team put up a formidable total of 171, capitalising on the slow pitch conditions. India's spin bowlers, particularly Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, dominated the proceedings, restricting England to a mere 103. Both spinners picked up 3 wickets apiece as the Men in Blue did not allow their opponents much breathing space.

Rohit Sharma's aggressive approach set the tone for India's batting, while Axar's immediate impact in removing England's captain, Jos Buttler, and Kuldeep's crafty deliveries left England's batting line-up in disarray. England's batting faltered, with key players falling to India's spin attack, culminating in a comprehensive victory for India.
This win propels India closer to their long-awaited world title, with a formidable South African team standing between them and glory in the final. The Proteas have won 8 matches in a row and are also looking to win their maiden ICC World Cup title after beating Afghanistan in the semis.
