Disabled man gored to death by stray bull

Colva: A 32-year-old man,

Ratnakar Gaonkar

, lost his life after being gored by a stray bull on Thursday morning.
As per reports, he was tending to his cattle near his home during the attack. He was a resident of Gaonkarwaddo-Pazorconni.
According to police reports, Gaonkar, who was physically challenged, was unaware of the approaching bull that initially attempted to attack his cattle.
Due to his being deaf and mute, he remained unaware of the disturbance among his flock due to the approaching bull. His cattle’s panicked dispersal inadvertently provoked the bull's aggression towards him.

The bull fatally gored Gaonkar in the neck, inflicting severe injuries.
His family rushed him to the

South Goa district hospital

, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police stated that they had not received prior complaints about bulls attacking humans. The case has been registered as an unnatural death, and further investigation is under way.
