Teacher shot at Bronx middle school: School safety union

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A teacher was shot at a middle school in the Bronx Wednesday, the day before school starts in New York City, according to a school safety agent union representative.
The bullet entered the classroom from outside the Webster Avenue school and then hit the teacher in the hand, according to the union representative.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital around noon, according to the FDNY.
