MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Learn to cook soup dumplings at New York City’s first-ever festival dedicated to the Chinese comfort dish.
Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao will host an outdoor soup dumpling festival on Oct. 6 on Sixth Avenue between 31st Street and 30th Street. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and include tastes of Nan Xiang’s beloved menu items, from rainbow dumplings to braised beef noodle soup, according to Secret NYC.
Some attendees can participate in soup dumpling-making sessions that will run for an hour and a half starting at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Registration is $68 and comes with an apron and a to-go box for the dumplings.

Before the festival, get a discounted taste of the popular eateries’ menu from Sept. 26-29, when the restaurant will offer free soy milk with any soup dumpling or dumpling order.
Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao first opened in Flushing in 2006, then expanded to Koreatown and the East Village. It’s earned Michelin nods for years and expanded across New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
