NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Sunday will bring above normal temperatures in the mid to upper-60s with partly sunny skies.
These temperatures could flirt with the record high of 71 degrees, as this unseasonably warm November continues. Clouds will increase throughout the day, as a stray shower is possible in the overnight and early morning hours.
However, by Monday afternoon, the sun will return. Highs again are expected to be in the mid-60s.
Tuesday will be a bit cooler with temperatures in the low 60's. However, under the influence of a warm front, southeast winds will warm us up back into the mid-60s on Wednesday. Clouds will build ahead of showers that will likely arrive by the early morning hours of Thursday.
This system will bring much-needed rain, as much of the Tri-State Area is still in a drought and in a significant rain deficit. Along with the rain, temperatures will drop from the low-60s to the mid-40s by Thursday evening.
With the temps so low, the region could see some snow by Friday.
Rain should linger around into Friday with high temperatures only in the upper-40's. By early next weekend, we will remain chilly.
