Shark Tank India 3: Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar and other Sharks find flaws in Gym owner pitcher who doesn’t go to his own gym

2, second pitchers of day are a couple – Vishal and Anita Nigam. They own a gym brand, which partners with and rebrands neighbourhood gyms to premium gyms at affordable prices.
The Sharks find their brand complicated with their functionality. Anupam says, “It’s a problem.”
While discussing the brand, Deepinder points out that the phone number shown in their company ad has 9 digits.

He also points out certain grammatical errors in the ad. He says, “Since past 10 mins I have been trying to figure this out. It was bouncing back seeing 9 digits. Attention to detail. This is your showcase. You are coming on TV. Show your customer some love and respect.”
Vineeta says, “Customers won’t be able to call you after seeing this ad.”

Deepinder says, “You are letting down your customers.” Aman asks if he goes to his gym. Vishal says he hasn’t been going to the gym since past 4 months. Deepinder tells him, ‘You don’t use your own product and services.” The pitcher says, “I am trying to build this to be very honest. I am fit. I have become fat because I have been working till 4am. I have transformed many times and I will do it again.” Deepinder is out of the deal.

Vineeta reminds him of the pitch he present of playing a man, who procrastinates to go to gym. She says, “You are that person in real life. If you can’t fulfill your own promises, investors will feel how will you fulfill their promises.” Namita says, “We invest in founders. But there are a lot of flaws.”
The pitchers get no deal. The Sharks advise them to take the feedback positively.
The third pitchers of the day are Rahul Arora and Pushpender Singh Rautela. The provide a platform to create credible database, where companies can speed up the hiring process. Their ask is Rs 1.5 crore for 1% equity.
They show their business model. Vineeta says, “You guys are so brilliant, I don’t want to tempt myself by investing in this. You have one of the smartest pitches.” Anupam and Aman show interest. Deepinder makes a non-negotiable offer – Rs 5 crore for 10% equity.
During negotiations, Deepinder and Anupam back out, leaving them with only Aman. They go with Aman’s deal – Rs 1.5 cr and 2% equity.
