NEW YORK (PIX11) – A 5-year-old boy and a 56-year-old woman witnessed two home invaders steal from them Wednesday morning, according to police.
NYPD officers received a 911 call at 1:00 a.m. for a call for help near Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 117 Street. Police say two males knocked on the door of a Harlem home, forced their way inside, and displayed firearms.
The two men removed jewelry, electronics, money, and a safe during the incident and fled the location. The victims, a 5-year-old boy, and a 56-year-old woman, were inside at the time of the home invasion. They were both uninjured, police said.
The victims were taken to a local hospital, authorities say.
The perpetrators are described as males. They are believed to be in their mid-20s or early 30s and were last seen wearing all-black attire with black masks.
