NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Female rapper Sexxy Red and two members of her entourage were arrested for fighting at the Newark Liberty International Airport, a spokesperson from the Port Authority said on Tuesday.
Hours before the rapper performed at the Governor's Ball, Port Authority Police were called to respond to a fight at Terminal C. Police responded to the brawl at around 1:20 a.m. and found two victims with lacerations to their heads, police sources tell PIX11 News.
Janae Nierah Wherry, who goes by her stage name Sexxy Red, along with two other male companions who had accompanied the St. Louis rapper, were also arrested for their role in the brawl. One of the victims, a male, was taken to University Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Arrest records show three people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

- Leslie Baptiste, Male, 36, of Miami, FL
- Carl Thompson, Male, 26, of Miami, FL
It remains unclear what may have started the fight. PIX11 News reached out to Wherry [Redd], but she was not immediately available to comment.
