Rakhi Sawant gets interim protection from arrest in Adil Khan Durrani case from the Sessions court

Interim protection to Rakhi Sawant has been extended till January 3. The high court order was tendered today (December 22) in the bail hearing of Rakhi Sawant, due to which the court granted her further protection and shall pass final orders on bail on 3rd January, 2024.
Rakhi’s lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan mentioned, “It was kept for passing order on anticipatory bail application filed by her today, but since we submitted order of High court in the

Sherlyn Chopra

case stating that she has got relief in that case as well, court gave date of 3 January and extended protection to Rakhi Sawant.”

Rakhi got interim protection from arrest from the Dindoshi sessions court.

She filed quashing of a past FIR filed by

Sherlyn

Chopra which was also under section 67A for allegedly sharing Sherlyn’s p*rn/ n*de video, which was already available on internet widely. The High court granted relief to Rakhi by issuing notice to Sherlyn and also exempting Rakhi from appearing personally in trial court at Andheri.

Durrani had registered FIR against Rakhi Sawant under section 67A for allegedly sharing his personal n*de videos. ⁠Rakhi had filed her anticipatory bail application where

failed to file his reply on time.

Rakhi has also filed Bail cancellation of Adil Durrani in Andheri court, where he was granted last chance to file his reply, today the court has directed the police officer to get chargesheet filed and if he still fails to remain present or file his reply then a Non bailable warrant shall be issued against him, said the Andheri magistrate court today.
