Preity Zinta recalls Mani Ratnam asking to wash her face before a scene in 'Dil Se'

Preity Zinta recently went down the memory lane and recalled shooting for Mani Ratnam's 'Dil Se'. She made her debut in Bollywood with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. Sharing an incident from the film's shoot, Preity said that Mani Ratnam had asked her to shoot make-up free for 'Dil Se'. She reminisced about it on her official X handle.

On February 8, Preity Zinta recalled shooting for her 'Dil Se', first film and wrote that she was asked to wash her face and remove all her make-up before posing for the close-up shots.

Sharing a photo from the shoot she continued, "This picture was taken on the first day on the set of Dil Se. I was so excited to be working with Mani Ratnam sir & Shah Rukh Khan. When Mani sir saw me he smiled and politely asked me to wash my face (sic)."

Preity continued, "But sir, my make up will come off, I said smiling. That’s exactly what I want. Pls wash your face. He smiled back. I thought he was joking. Then I realised he was not !!! So thanks to the amazing Santosh Sivan ( our Director of Photography) I filmed with a freshly washed face and got away with it. I guess he shot me 'Dil Se' (sic)."

On February 7, Preity Zinta treated her fans to an adorable photo of herself, where she was seen lazying around with her children, Gia and Jai. Sharing the snap, the actor captioned the post, "Best thing about rainy days and lazy afternoon naps full of little kisses from the little ones. There is no joy, no feeling and no love better than this #Jai #Gia #Babylove #rainyday #twins #ting (sic).”
