THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are looking for a man they say may be connected to a string of cell phone robberies in the Bronx.
A 35-year-old woman almost had her phone snatched from her hand on Soundview Avenue, according to authorities. A person on a moped allegedly tried to grab the phone around 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 3, police say.
In a second incident, a 21-year-old woman was robbed when a person on a moped grabbed her phone, officials report. Authorities say the robbery happened on Gleason Ave at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 6.
Sources tell PIX11 News the suspect took off on a moped in both incidents. No injuries have been reported.
