Police launch investigations into the death of a woman at a resort on Long Island: police

WATER MILL, Suffolk County (PIX11) -- A woman was found dead in a guest room at a resort in Water Mill Monday afternoon, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The body was found at the Shou Sugi Ban House at 337 Montauk Highway.

Police responded to the resort at around 12:30 p.m. and determined the woman was a victim of violence. An autopsy will be conducted to determine her cause of death.
