BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A pediatric emergency doctor aided an MTA conductor who was slashed in the neck on a C train in Brooklyn, according to NewYork-Presbyterian.
Dr. Patrick McGrory was identified as the man who helped out 59-year-old Alton Scott. He works at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, according to hospital officials.
Scott had stuck his head out his cab window while performing his duties when he was slashed with an unknown object, according to authorities.
Scott was brought to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he received 34 stitches to the gaping wound, according to Transport Workers Union Local 100.
"On the conductor’s account, if it wasn’t for the doctor, he’s not sure if he would’ve made it," said Demetrius Crichlow, a senior vice president at NYC Transit.
