MTA bus crashes in Queens after driver has medical episode: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Multiple people were injured after an MTA bus driver had a medical episode, according to the NYPD. 

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. near 46th Street and Queens Boulevard, according to the FDNY. After the 51-year-old driver had a medical episode, the bus was sent crashing into a bench and some parked cars, police said.

Two female passengers, ages 34 and 64, were injured and taken to an area hospital, police said. The driver was also taken to an area hospital.

The nature of the driver's medical episode was not immediately known, police said.
