NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Riding the PATH will get a little more expensive today.

On Sunday, the cost of a PATH trip increased from $2.75 to $3, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A 2-trip pass is now $6.

If you're using a multi-trip pass, that increase is only 10 cents. A 10-trip SmartLink is now $28.50, a 20-trip pack is $57, and 40 trips are $114.

For unlimited passes, one day will now cost $11.50, seven days will cost $39.25, and 30 days will cost $120.75.

It’s the first fare increase since 2014. The Port Authority said the fare hike is partly due to inflation and will replenish money lost during the pandemic.

Last week a toll hike for Port Authority crossings went into effect at the same time Congestion Pricing started, charging drivers to enter Manhattan on and below 60th Street.
