LUCKNOW: BJP national president JP
Nadda
on Sunday sharpened his attack on the constituents of
opposition
bloc INDIA accusing them of competing amongst themselves to
sabotage
Narendra
Modi government
efforts to put the country in a growth trajectory.
"INDIA wale alag hi spardha mein lage hain....ki kaise aage badhte Bharat ko roka jaye...kaise Modi ko roka jaye (Constituents of INDIA are engaged in a different competition as to how to stop the progressing Bharat and how to stop Modi)," he remarked, while speaking at a women's half marathon event organized in Lucknow. Nadda also took part in a Viksit Bharat Yatra and listened to 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme of PM Modi.
This was the second visit of Nadda to UP, around 10 days after he attended the Sansad Khel Mahotsav in Basti and held organizational meetings in Gorakhpur. Nadda's visit to UP came a day after PM Narendra Modi on Saturday set the poll tone in the state by inaugurating developmental projects from the Hindutva nerve centre of Ayodhya. It also coincided with home minister Amit Shah's visit to Mathura on Sunday, in what analysts believed was potentially the saffron outfit's assertive bid to step up the poll campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha elections due in the next few months.
In a sharp jibe at the Congress, Nadda said that the people who left no stone unturned to break the country were now busy carrying out 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. "Jin logo ne samaj ke saath anyay karne mein koi kasar nahi chhodi, wo aaj kal nyay yatra ki baat kar rahe hain," Nadda said.
The second leg of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, which will be known as Bharat Nyay Yatra, is scheduled to start from Manipur on January 14 and will end in Mumbai on March 20.
The timing of the Bharat Nyay Yatra is crucial as it would conclude just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, though the Congress reiterated that like Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bharat Nyay Yatra will not be a political rally. "It is ironic that the people who never thought of anyone beyond their family are now speaking about the country," Nadda said.
The BJP chief said that while PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath lay stress on the growth of the country, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and SP president Akhilesh Yadav only speak of their family. "Main aur mera parivar abaad rahe...iske aage unki koi kalpana nahi (They cannot imagine anything beyond the welfare of them and their family members)," Nadda remarked, adding that the people should not allow these people to come forward and instead strengthen Modi and Yogi.
He said that the BJP-led NDA government was taking every possible step to usher in development of women, youth, farmers and the poor. He said various schemes aimed to strengthen the society and bring backward sections into the mainstream.
