Official discusses NYC's Summer Youth Employment Program

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The application deadline for the city's Summer Youth Employment Program has been pushed to March 15. It provides jobs to teenagers and young adults for six weeks in July and August.

It's the largest program of its time nationwide, with 100,000 slots available. Keith Howard, the commissioner of the Department of Youth and Community Development, talks about the program.
